Floating Squares - Rag Quilt Layout

Yesterday I posted a tutorial on how to sew a rag quilt for a baby.  Today I am posting a layout for a throw size rag quilt (64" x 64").  I made this quilt recently for my daughter and came up with a "floating squares" design.  I love how the 4 turquoise squares put together highlights this happy color.

I have also put together a PDF file that you can download HERE which will give you the layout that I used and the yardage needed for all the fabrics.  You can view the tutorial on how to construct a rag quilt that I posted yesterday HERE.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!

I can’t read the pattern in PDF. What size are the squares?

The flannel squares are 8" and the cotton batting square on the inside is 6.5".

Can it be made for a twin size bed?
